We have hand-picked some of the classic perennial favourites that our brandy lovers have enjoyed for many years. Firstly, there are the favourite Brandy mixers – Chateau Tanunda Brandy & Soda, or Lime & Soda, or perhaps Dry Ginger Ale or Orange, or simply Chateau Tanunda Brandy ‘on the rocks’ - perhaps with a dash of water! Then of course, there are the classic favourite Chateau Tanunda Brandy Cocktails – including the Brandy Crusta, Brandy Sour, Sidecar and of course the Brandy Alexander.
BRANDY & DRY GINGER ALE
Pour 30ml CT Brandy over ice, top with dry ginger ale and stir. Garnish with lime.
BRANDY & SODA
Pour 30ml CT Brandy over ice, top with soda and garnish with a slice of lemon.
BRANDY ON THE ROCKS
Pour 30ml CT Brandy over ice and garnish with twist of lemon or lime.
BRANDY LIME & SODA
Pour 30ml CT Brandy over ice, add soda. Squeeze & garnish with lime.
BRANDY CRUSTA
Glass
Stemmed Champagne Flute (or small wine glass)
Garnish
Crusted sugar rim on glass. Large spiral of lemon peel
Ingredients
• 50ml CT Brandy
• 7.5ml Triple Sec
• 7.5ml Maraschino Liqueur
• 15ml Fresh Lemon Juice
• 7.5ml Sugar Syrup
(2 parts Sugar to 1 part water ratio)
• 2 Dashes Aromatic Bitters
Method
Shake well with ice. Fine strain into sugar rimmed glass. Add large spiral of lemon peel into the glass.
BRANDY SOUR
Glass
Old Fashioned or Large Rocks
Garnish
Lemon wedge, optional cherry
Ingredients
• 60ml CT Brandy
• 30ml Fresh lemon juice
• 15ml Sugar Syrup (or to taste)
• 2 Dashes Aromatic Bitters
• Optional (highly recommended):
20ml Fresh egg white
Method
Pour all ingredients into a shaker. For smooth foamy texture, shake first with no ice, then open shaker, top
with ice, shake hard. Strain into glass over fresh ice.
BRANDY ALEXANDER
Glass
Coupe or Martini Glass
Garnish
Dusted grated Nutmeg
Ingredients
• 30ml CT Brandy
• 30ml Creme de Cacao
(preferably Brown)
• 30ml Fresh Cream
Method
Shake well with ice and fine strain into glass. Dust drink with nutmeg.
SIDECAR
Glass
Coupe or Martini Glass
Garnish
Optional half sugar rim
Ingredients
• 45ml CT Brandy
• 25ml Triple Sec
• 25ml Fresh Lemon Juice
Method
Shake well with ice. Fine strain into glass.
